Advanced Technology for Complete Dry Eye Care

Our Dry Eye Suite is equipped with cutting-edge technology to deliver comprehensive care:

Scout Pro: Scout Pro is essential in dry eye diagnosis as it measures tear osmolarity, reflecting the salt concentration in tears. Elevated osmolarity is a hallmark of dry eye and indicates tear film instability which in turn contributes to ocular surface damage, inflammation and irritation. It is a very useful tool in confirming dry eye vs other causes of symptoms.
Lid Exfoliator: This specialised device gently exfoliates and cleanses the eyelids, treating various eyelid inflammatory conditions (e.g. Demodex blepharitis).  
IRPL Machine: You might have heard of IPL, but let us introduce you to IRPL, where the “R” stands for Regulated Light. This is a precise and scientifically studied method specifically designed for meibomian gland dysfunction. With IRPL, you’re getting targeted, highly effective care.

Experience the ACTIVA Treatment

One of our most popular devices in our Dry Eye Suite is the ACTIVA treatment—our in-practice, heat and massage therapy. While many of our patients supplement this treatment with at-home heat therapy, there is no doubt about the additional relief that a professional device can provide.

How ACTIVA Works

Comfortable Heated Mask: During the 15-minute session, you’ll wear a heated mask that alternates between soothing heat and gentle massage. This process helps to stimulate the meibomian glands, melt solidified meibum (oils) and improve oil flow.
Relaxing Atmosphere: To enhance your experience, you can listen to soothing sounds from our white noise machine, such as birds chirping or waves crashing. Alternatively, feel free to bring your favourite podcast or music to enjoy through your headphones.
